William (Billy) Newton Obituary

Mr. William Newton was born in Farmville North Carolina, He was the loving son of the late Marie "Boot" Newton he entered eternal rest on February 13, 2026 at Yale New Haven Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Martha Newton. They shared 48 years of marriage.  He was a loving and devoted father to his son Louis Dorsey, Two daughters Tosha Newton, Shona Newton.  His family was his life.  To know him was to love him.  William was a hardworking family man who worked two jobs to take care of the family that he cherished and loved. Though he didn't attend church regularly he was God fearing.  He worked until his hands were tired.  He lived until his body was tired. His family needed him but god needed him more. Ecclesiastes 3:2 declares that there is a time for everything; a time to be born and a time to die. Even though we mourn his transition from time into eternity, we are comforted in knowing that he died the way he lived, a man of peace. We can hear GOD say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have fought a good fight, but it's time to come home where I can bless you with eternal rest and peace.  He loved to work to ensure his family was taken care of."William was employed at Norwalk Public Schools from 1994 to 2022 as a Head Custodian. Students and staff loved and respected him. He was also employed at Autumn Lake Health Care from 1994 to 2024 as a house keeper.  He was a huge wrestling fan. He leaves to cherish his memories, Three sisters:  Sheila Rodgers of Farmville North Carolina Jennifer Newton-Davis of Farmville North Carolina Stephanie Newton of Alanta Georgia One brother Tyrone Newton of Greensboro North Carolina
