Adele Hester was the kindest most inspirational God mother a person could have. She inspired me, supported me and exposed me to a multitude of experiences I would not have had without her. I am so sorry I didn’t realize she passed, but am so glad she is with the Lord. God bless.

Sis. Adele Hester is one of the dearest persons I have ever met. She served as my Administrative Assistant at the St Mark's United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, NY.for the eleven (11) years that I spent as Pastor of that congregation. She was an inspiration. In my final year at St Mark's Sis Hester added to her already busy schedule the directorship of the newly formed St. Mark's Seniors Center of Flatbush. She was the first Director of that program which was funded by a grant from the then Councilwoman, the Hon. Una Clarke. Mrs. Hester was truly a woman of God. For the last two years I kept wondering why I couldn't have reached her. Now I know. My wife, Pansy, joins me in thanking God that our paths crossed and praying that her family will continue to experience God's comforting Presence. Sadly, Rev. Patrick G. Perrin, Pastor, St. John's UMC of Elmont.
